Care and Maintenance:
Table Tops:
Faux Stone Tabletops:
These are made from
non-porous materials and are easily cleaned with soap and water. On
a regular basis, use a mild soap and soft rag to scrub the surface
and rinse with clean water.
Natural Stone
tabletops: Spills should be
wiped up quickly to avoid any staining on the surface. Regular
cleaning with mild soap and water with a sponge or soft scrub brush
is all that is required.
Stone tabletops should be resealed every 6 to 12 months. Use a high
quality granite and marble sealer.
Natural stone tops will fade in direct sunlight over time. This
fading is a natural process and will be more noticeable on brightly
colored stones and polished marble.
Stone tops may be re-polished professionally, and always require
resealing after polishing. Storing your natural stone top(s) when
not in use for extended periods of time is recommended.
Metal Frame Finish:
Iron Frame: Do not let dirt
build up on the metal frames. Cleaning with mild soap and water, and
seasonal touch-up of any scratches, chips or occasional rust seepage
from crevices or hidden, unfinished surfaces, inherent in some
ornate designs, is all that is required. Touch-up pens or spray
touch up in matching frame colors are available through Texas
Patios. Never leave furniture standing in water. To keep your
furniture looking its best, you may wish to store or cover your
furniture when not in use for an extended period of time.
Aluminum Frame: Periodically
clean the finish with a sponge or soft bristle brush using a
cleaning solution with 1/4 cup (2 oz.) mild liquid soap in a gallon
of lukewarm water (100° F / 38° C) . Rinse thoroughly. Avoid using
abrasive cleaners. For smooth finishes, we recommend periodic waxing
of the frame with a high grade clear liquid wax or the use of a
commercially available protectant to help maintain and/or restore
the luster of the finish.
Wicker:
Weather Wicker:
This product requires minimal maintenance. Use a soft brush, duster,
or vacuum to remove surface dirt. The furniture can be cleaned with
a sponge using a mild detergent and warm water. Rinse thoroughly.
Cushions and Slings:
Woven Acrylic Cushions:
Prepare a cleaning
solution with 1/4 cup (2 oz.) mild liquid soap in a gallon of
lukewarm water (no warmer than 100° F / 38° C). Clean fabric with
the solution using a sponge or soft bristle brush. Rinse thoroughly
with clean water. Allow to air dry, standing the cushion on its side
to help it drain faster.
Mildew may form on dirt or other substances deposited upon the
fabric. Regular cleaning of the furniture will help to prevent its
forming. If mildew does develop, add 1 cup bleach to the cleaning
solution. Apply to the affected area and allow to soak in. Scrub
with a soft bristle brush, then rinse thoroughly. Repeat if
necessary. For stubborn mildew stains, use a household mildew
remover - test in an inconspicuous location first. Follow the
manufacturer's instructions.
Note:
Certain suntan and sun
block products contain "PABA". PABA is harmful to fabric and can
permanently discolor it; therefore, contact with cushions or slings
should be avoided. If contact is made, cleaning the fabric
immediately with a non-abrasive, mild soap and water solution
followed by a fresh water rinse may minimize the possibility of
discoloration. Laying a beach towel over the cushions or slings of
outdoor furniture whenever you are using the furniture will prolong
the fabric life.
In addition, storing the cushions when not in use will extend
cushion life.
Stain Removal

Woven
Vinyl and Acrylic Slings:
Using a sponge or cloth, wash with a solution of soap or mild
detergent and warm water. Rinse thoroughly with water and allow to
air dry.
Umbrellas:
The umbrella should be
closed and secured with its ties whenever it is not in use. It is
best to remove the top section of the pole (that holds the umbrella
canopy), and lay it flat when not in use. This is your best defense
to prevent wind damage.
Sunbrella ®features a soil- and stain-resistant
finish that makes cleaning a breeze. Spot wash by sponging briskly
with a soapy solution of mild soap in lukewarm water. Rinse
thoroughly with clean water to remove soap and air dry. You can also
clean the cover in your washing machine, however do not use your
dryer. After the wash cycle, simply put the damp cover back on the
frame on the umbrella and let air dry. Solution-dyed acrylic does
not promote mildew growth. However, mildew may grow on dirt and
other foreign substances that are not removed from the fabric.
Simply wash your cover to remove mildew.
